This Friday, March 16, 2012 photo shows the first piece that came from the Lincolnton Furniture Company, a wooden nightstand, signed by all the employees working at the time of the startup, on display at the Carolina Furniture Mart in Lincolnton, N.C. Five generations of Cochranes had been furniture makers, but by the mid-1990s the trade was moving to China, land of cheap labor. But earlier this year, Bruce Cochrane reopened with a work force of about 55, part of a small but growing trend called "reshoring." (AP Photo/Bob Leverone)
