A crane on the top deck of One World Trade Center holds a steel beam between two columns to make the tower New York City's tallest skyscraper on Monday in New York. One World Trade Center is being built to replace the Twin Towers destroyed in the Sept. 11 attacks. It reached just over 1,250 feet on Monday. That's just taller than the observation deck on the Empire State Building.

Peg O’Donnell cuddles her cat, Zoe, a stray she rescued in 2009. The Vancouver woman has since taken in two more cats and also leaves food outside her home for stray and feral cats.

Peg O’Donnell took in a stray tabby she now calls Riley on St. Patrick’s Day. The Northwest neighborhood resident has a heart for stray and feral cats that roam the area, an increasing issue for her neighborhood.
