Matt and Emily Whitton stroll on Pioneer Street in downtown Ridgefield with their daughters, Mia, 15 months, and Naomi, 3. The former industrial and farming town is a gateway to the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge and its downtown is changing with new and renovated businesses.
