Boy Scout Troop 484 member Scott Brightbill, 13, hands Renee Sherrell, mother of Cody Sherrell, a U.S. flag during a ceremony in Cody’s honor Thursday inside the La Center Middle School gym. Brightbill asked to present the flag to Cody’s family.
