Gordon Brooks, left, confirmed high levels of arsenic in the drinking water of his Amboy-area home last spring, but didn’t take action right away. He installed a filtration system soon after his daughter, Mirannda Van De Voorde, and granddaughter, Laila Van De Voorde, moved into the home along with Mirannda’s husband, Sean Van De Voorde, last fall.
