Crews are in the process of winding down the cleanup of the former Pacific Wood Treating site in Ridgefield, planning to excavate the property and cover it with clean fill dirt by the end of this year. The effort to remove harmful chemicals from the soil and groundwater has cost an estimated $66 million to date.
