Fisherman's Marine and Outdoor store manager John Thompson shows a handgun to a customer in November 2008, when local gun sales spiked after the presidential election. Local merchants haven't seen a big jump in sales since last week's massacre in Colorado, but the Clark County Sheriff's Office said it's seen an increase in applications for concealed handgun permits.
