The pear trees in Foley Park were covered by blackberry bushes until recently. In addition to pear trees, the park also features some cherry and apple trees.

The Foley Park property was purchased by Clark County in 2006 for use as a future park. The property, which previously belonged to Hubert and Ople Foley, is home to more than 150 pear trees that are about 60 years old.
