Leslie Dykman, lead mammography technologist at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center’s Kearney Breast Center, uses new 3-D technology to perform a mammogram on a patient Monday. The 3-D mammograms take multiple photos of the breast, tissue-layer by tissue-layer. The 2-D mammograms provide two flat images, one from the top of the breast and one from the side.
