Stephanie Vanveen, a physical education teacher at Wy'east Middle School, reacts as Jordan Hornbeck, 13, fails to yield and signal during a bicycle safety class at the school Thursday. The class was part of a two-week unit teaching middle-schoolers hand signals, the rules of the road and bicycle safety. The nonprofit Bike Clark County oversees the program.
