John and Susy Hoefer were trying to raise money for their nephew's headstone by selling some of his belongings, including Rosetta Stone software. After posting the software on eBay, the two were told it was pirated. They are now facing a fine and potential legal battle.

Shanahans Pub bartender Misty Winders has helped collect bras in an effort — spearheaded by local plastic surgeon Dr. Allen Gabriel's office — to collect the undergarments for women in Haiti. The campaign is expanding to include local women.
