Volunteer Shirley Benson, 73, a member of First Evangelical, stands inside one of two truck trailers that organizers hope to fill with shoe boxes filled with gifts for needy children. The trucks will arrive the day after Thanksgiving in Huntington Beach, Calif., where the boxes will be processed and sent to struggling children around the world.
