Abby Jones, 17, prepares to unwrap cubes of butter offered by teacher's assistant Robin Curtiss as her life skills cooking class at Prairie High School makes chocolate chip cookies. Another class was making dog biscuits to sell at holiday bazaars, but there wasn't kitchen space for both classes. The staff has entered a contest that could fund a new kitchen.
