In this Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 photo, former U.S. Marine Cpl. Daniel Riley, 21, walks with prosthetic legs outside his apartment in San Diego. Riley lost both legs to an IED in Afhganistan. Learning to walk on his prosthetic legs was "like kicking a soccer ball in a swimming pool." But he didn't just learn to walk; he has learned to soar. He joined "Operation Rebound," and has graduated from competitor to mentor.
