Wilson Cady, left, a volunteer and environmental education chair with the Columbia Gorge Refuge Stewards, and Jim Clapp, right, a refuge manager with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, walk Friday along a fire line that contained a brush fire last week at Steigerwald Lake National Wildlife Refuge. Recovery efforts will include restoring the vegetation cleared to create the fire lines.
