Many like Laurie Bick, 20, of Mulino, Ore., dressed in traditional anime costumes. Her costume was Excalibur from the manga, "Soul Eater." She was among thousands who came to the first day of Kumoricon, a convention that celebrates anime, or a Japanese style of comics.
