United States Customs and Border Protection agents check out a boat that had gone from Canada into the United States on Lake Osoyoos. It's not illegal to enter the U.S. on the water, just to land or anchor the boat, or make contact with another boat. From left are agent Jon Speiker, boat owner Brent Olynyk from Alberta, and agents Vince Clark and Joe Flores. Olynyk said in seven years of boating on Lake Osoyoos, this was the second time he'd been stopped by the U.S. Border Patrol — both within two days.
