Karissa Cooke of Washougal, a student at Concordia University, volunteered at a health clinic in Siguiri, Guinea in West Africa. "I got a great deal of appreciation for what we have here in America. I learned not to take things for granted, even flushing the toilet. Coming back to America, though, was difficult. The people here seem so entitled to everything. I want everyone to know how blessed we are here."
