Ruth Wade, right, testifies before the House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday at the Capitol in Olympia, Wash. Wade, who said she is currently unable to see one of her grandchildren, was speaking in favor a measure being considered by Washington state lawmakers that would make it easier for grandparents and others with a close relationship to a child to secure visitation rights.
