With support from a veterinarian and volunteers, head biologist Paul Meyers works quickly to untangle a deer from a drop-net at the Julia Butler Hansen National Wildlife Refuge for Columbian White-tailed deer in Cathlamet on Tuesday. Biologists then hobbled the deer to prevent him from causing injury to himself or the crew.
