The Brickstone Ballroom, with manager Bonnie Sant, opens this month on the third floor of the historic Elks building in downtown Vancouver. It's one of the new businesses in which owners went through a pre-lease meeting, when officials from several city departments meet at the space to answer questions about codes in an effort to make the process of starting a business easier.
