Pharmacy technician Jenn Curtis fills prescriptions at the PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center pharmacy. State rules implemented last year require consultations with pain specialists for patients who reach an established threshold of pain medication and additional education for prescribers of long-acting opioids or methadone.
