William Hern, 55, prepares his bed Sunday at the Winter Hospitality Overflow shelter in St. Paul Lutheran Church. Hern, who has been on the street for two years, said he worked as a cook at Yellowstone, Yosemite and Grand Canyon national parks in his younger years.
