An Amtrak train crosses Southeast 147th Avenue at Southeast Evergreen Highway on Monday. The train crossing is one of four that could be upgraded to qualify as a quiet zone, giving relief to horn-weary residents in east Vancouver who would pay for safety measures such as new medians, extra lighting, signs and striping.
