Dr. Rana Chakraborty, chairman of the committee on Pediatric AIDS for the American Academy of Pediatrics, praised Dr. Deborah Persaud, pictured, the lead author of the report on the baby who was cured of HIV, and said he is delighted for the child and its mother. But Chakraborty believes the case is an "outlier" and that more research needs to be done.
