Samantha Effingham, 17, from Woodland died Nov. 23 after a two-car head-on collision on state Highway 502 near Northeast 29th Avenue, just west of Battle Ground. She was a passenger in the car driven by Ryan L. Matison, 20, of Battle Ground. Matison has been charged with vehicular homicide based on allegations he was driving recklessly at the time of the collision.
