Washington Gov. Jay Inslee vetoes a section of an $8.7 billion state transportation budget Monday in Olympia. Inslee vetoed the section that had $81 million in planning money set aside for replacing the bridge connecting Portland and Vancouver, because of concerns that the state’s $450 million share of the bridge’s costs might not be funded by the Legislature. He says he’s still hopeful that revenue will be approved during the current special legislative session.
