The 2013 Clark County fireworks season, while busy and noisy as usual, ended with less property damage from fireworks than in 2012. There will be no new restrictions for the 2014 fireworks season. County residents passed a nonbinding advisory vote in favor of tightened restrictions on fireworks in November, but commissioners say they are behind schedule in potentially drafting a new ordinance to do that. Any changes wouldn't take effect until the 2015 fireworks season, but commissioners face an approaching deadline to make that happen.
