This is a beautiful picture I took of a flower and at that
moment it focused on only one flower which is the center flower. Sharon
Curran took this photo. This little flower was beginning to bloom and
was ready to spread its petals. This photo was taken on September 2,
2013. Taken at a nearby park in my neighborhood. This photo is being
submitted to "The little things" March photo gallery.

The first daffodil of spring is one of the little things in
life that makes my heart sing. Their bright yellow color heralds in the
new season. A welcome sight after the cold and the rain. Photo by Diane

Its the little things, like the warm sun on your face after a
rain, that feel so good. This fellow was certainly enjoying the sunbreak
after the cold and rain on Sunday, March 9th at the CASEE pond in Brush
Prairie. Photo by Diane Stevens.

Ah the emerald green of the Shamrock (Oxalis) emerging from its sleep keeps these eyes smiling. Just one of natures little things that is such a welcome sight after all the gray of winter. This gem is growing in my backyard.

When our Stargazer Lilies bloomed, I caught this tiny spider
enjoying them too. I thought he would qualify as a "Little Thing".

This was taken by Gayle Altenhofen while in the Southern
Caribbean. I was on a cruise ship in February and we were leaving St
Kitts at sunset. I thought the sailboat looked ominous right in the
middle of the fading sunlight.

This is my little grandson's first trip to Hawaii when he was 2
yrs. old to visit family who live there. I would love to know what was
going on in his little mind when he caught his first glimpse of the calm
and serene aqua blue tropical ocean.

Gecko on Glass, March 2014: Photo taken inside the Star of the
Sea Painted Church: From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Location Kaimu, Hawaii
Added to NRHP May 14, 1997
The Star of the Sea Painted Church in Kalapana, Hawai'i was built in
1927-1928 under the direction of the Belgian Catholic missionary priest
Father Evarist Gielen, who painted the upper section of the church
interior. In 1941, George Heidler, an artist from Athens, Georgia,
painted the lower panels to complete the church interior. These
paintings tell the story of Father Damien or Saint Damien of Molokai (of
leprosy fame), who arrived in the Kalapana area of Puna, Hawaii in 1864,
shortly after his ordination.
In 1990, the church was moved to its present location just ahead of an
advancing lava flow.

I took this photo as an assignment for my photography class
last week. This is a branch of a tree that has a rain drop hanging off
of it which is common here where it rains all the time but it felt like
a unique find.
