Bio: Small business owner Curtis King was first elected to state Senate in 2007. He serves on the following committees: transportation; labor, commerce, and consumer protection; early learning and K-12 education; and rules.
After graduating from the University of Washington, the Yakima native moved to the East Coast, where he worked for General Electric and received his MBA. When his father retired from his Union Gap cabinet shop in 1976, King and his brother Gary returned to run the shop.
King is a former president of the Central Washington State Fair Board and has been an active member for 14 years.
