Bio: A Yakima County native, Norm Johnson was first elected in 2008. He grew up in Toppenish and attended Washington State University and Central Washington University. He also served two years in the United States Army.
Johnson worked as a teacher and counselor in Yakima County, and retired from his position as principal of Eagle High School in Toppenish in 1997.
The representative has also served as a councilman in Mabton, Toppenish and Yakima, as well as mayor of Toppenish.
