Bio: DeBolt is the current Republican leader and was first elected to the Legislature in 1996. He has also sat on the Legislative Committee on Economic Development and International Relations.
The representative is a Tacoma native, but traveled widely during his youth while his father served in the military. He received his bachelor’s degree in international relations from the University of Wyoming. He also attended school in Germany and England.
DeBolt works at TransAlta, a power plant in Centralia, as communications and community relations director, and was formerly the director for the Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce. He is the president of the United Way of Lewis County and an active Rotarian.
