Bio: Sharon Wylie was appointed to fill Jim Jacks' Washington state House seat in 2011, and she won the bid to keep her seat in a 2011 special election. She served as an Oregon state representative from 1993 to 1998.
As a Washington lawmaker, Wylie serves on the House Capital Budget Committee, Environment Committee, Higher Education Committee and Technology, Energy and Communications Committee.
Wylie earned a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of California -- Riverside. She is a former legislative lobbyist for Clark County and other governments.
