Community Action Academy gets dirty

Hazel Dell — Students from the Community Action Academy had hands-on lessons about producing food during two July visits to the Children’s Garden at the 78th Street Heritage Farm. The 12 students learned about planting seeds and seedlings, composting and weeding July 15 and 22 in the garden, which grows crops for the Clark County Food Bank. or information about volunteer opportunities at the garden, contact Kris Potter at kris.potter@clarkcountyfoodbank.org or 360-693-0939.
