RENTON, Wash. (AP) — Seattle Seahawks linebacker Aaron Curry was not at practice Wednesday and his locker was cleaned out.

The team had no comment on his status, but some teammates indicated that Curry was on his way out of Seattle.

Curry had fallen out of favor in Seattle, with rookie K.J. Wright taking over the starting strongside linebacker role.

Teammates including Wright and Leroy Hill indicated that Curry had come in and said his goodbyes. Curry was the fourth overall pick in the 2009 draft out of Wake Forest, but had struggled to find a productive role in Seattle.
