Vancouver Volcanoes defeat Tacoma, 138-118

The Vancouver Volcanoes improved to 5-1 after a 138-118 win Friday against the Tacoma Jazz in International League Basketball action at Clark College’s O’Connell Center.

Josh Jackson led the Volcanoes with 24 points. Gary Muzzy was one of four Vancouver players to score 21 points. He also had 15 rebounds, while Kevin Tyner finished with 16 points and 15 assists.

All seven players who scored for Vancouver were in double figures.

Aleskey Adediran led the Jazz with 21 points and 14 rebounds.

The Volcanoes face the Snohomish County Explosion at 7:15 p.m. today in Monroe. The Vancouver team then travels to Bend, Ore., on Thursday to play the Central Oregon Hotshots.

The Volcanoes next home game at Clark College is April 12 against the Portland Chinooks.
