Her car came to rest upright on the grassy median near the northbound lanes of the freeway, according to Battalion Chief Tim Dawdy. Arriving firefighters got her on a backboard and she was transported by ambulance to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center with injuries that Dawdy described as not life-threatening. Clogged traffic from the crash and the nearby construction on the Lewis River bridge resulted in major traffic problems. A minor rear-end collision happened near the site of the crash because people were gawking at the crash site in the median, Dawdy said.
