The Clark County Warriors Red high school rugby club registered another impressive win on Saturday, defeating Linn-Benton 50-7.The Warriors Red team and Eastside of Portland are each 5-0 atop the Rugby Oregon High School Club Championship Division. This week, those teams clash at 1 p.m. Saturday at Skyridge Middle School in Camas.Luc Levasseur led the dominant win over Linn-Benton with three five-point tries. Justin Straup scored two tires, and Jessie Keisser contributed two tries and two conversion kicks. Also scoring a try for the Red Warriors were Taj Albeck and Izaak Heredia, who also kicked three conversions.Clark County Rugby's second team, the Warriors Black, lost 50-14 to the Valley Rams of McMinnville, Ore. Ryan Gingrich and Jakob Saulo scored for the Black, who host Columbia County (Ore.) at 11:30 a.m. this Saturday at Skyridge Middle School.Union 25, Prairie 7 — In the Rugby Oregon Varsity Premiership Division, the first-year Union team topped Prairie on Saturday. Caleb Browning scored two tries, and Jake Kim and Brendon Curle one apiece as Union's back-line players provided the offense. Tyler Dionne added a long-range penalty kick for three points.Union (4-1) is tied with Reynolds of Troutdale, Ore., for first place in the division. Prairie is one of three teams tied at 2-2-1.This week, Union plays third-place Oregon City at 2 p.m. Saturday at Delta Park in North Portland. Prairie takes on Central Catholic at 12:30 p.m. at Laurin Middle School.Battle Ground 22, Central Catholic 22 — Battle Ground played to a draw on Saturday, and has two wins, one loss and two ties. Details were not reported. This week, Battle Ground hosts Lakeridge of Lake Oswego at 11 a.m. Saturday at Laurin Middle School.Battle Ground girls 35, West Linn 0 — Host Battle Ground improved to 2-2-1 in the Oregon Rugby High School Girls Division by blanking West Linn on Saturday. No details were reported. Battle Ground will plat Columbia County (4-1) at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Scappoose (Ore.) Middle School.

The Portland Thorns begin their second season on Saturday in Houston, against the newest team in the second-year league. Only eight of the 22 players on the roster as the 2014 season starts were with Portland at the end of last season.
