Thank you, PadmaRani. I've tried aqua yoga, but I have a lot of trouble with balance. My weight is a big problem right now, although the swimming has helped me get rid of 40lbs, I am still considered obese...with the accompanying lack of agility. Although yoga has been suggested, anything too "twisty" should be avoided....I have scoliosis, arthritis and bone spurs in my lower spine. Doctors refer to it as Degenerative Disc Disease...kind of a catch all for "your back is toast, and there's nothing we can do about it". Chiropractors are not good for me either. This is a problem that has gotten worse and worse for 19 years with Kaiser misdiagnosing me and not taking one silly, little, ol' X-Ray. Oh well, now I know, so now I can work on getting rid of the weight, excessive pounds has only made things worse....when you cannot walk without a walker, jogging is out of the question...until I found aqua aerobics. Yoga will come, I understand that it's great for breathing/meditation which couldn't hurt for pain control. By 1990, I had to give up on my "gym room", it just got too painful. I didn't find out what the real problem was, and it's extent, until 2004, when we went to Aetna and found a new doctor. A year and a half later, she sent me to Rebound, a neuro/ortho clinic, and, of course, it was way too late.
No hard feelings at all, I am now worried about wisemomma, she seems to have a very strong, deep and burning hurt going in her, I understood exactly what you were saying, after going through what I have with the loss of my sister in '07 I know what these people are going through, unfortunately, I really wish I didn't, but her comments are not needed at a time like this, and most of all, they are not welcome.
Attention whore? Seriously? You have a loyal following like me, soapbox, and agourmet who wish we saw your comments more often. With that lotus blossom comes light, humor, and a depth of insight that is rare on here.
Oh, there are attention whores, but PadmaRani cannot be counted among them.
Sorry for the late response PadmaRani. Thanks for your kind response and accolades.
Your avatar is lovely.
Let's keep the positive vibe alive and make our comments SUPER!

PadamaRani,
No hard feelings at all, I am now worried about wisemomma, she seems to have a very strong, deep and burning hurt going in her, I understood exactly what you were saying, after going through what I have with the loss of my sister in '07 I know what these people are going through, unfortunately, I really wish I didn't, but her comments are not needed at a time like this, and most of all, they are not welcome.
Thanks for the response..

He missed the point, which is totally understandable, as it was not his point of view!!

Notice how quiet it is without him?

PadmaRani: I want to tell you that I think your posts are very wise and insightful.
I tried, too, to appeal to GO's unhealthy focus on targeting one commenter, but to no avail.
Your advice was right on. As I asked her not long before you, "What happened to the New Year's resolution of peace and love?"
Keep posting. You bring good sense to the discussions.
Namaste.
