Military have no real economic productivity; just a sinkhole.

Giles_Winterbourne — March 16, 2010 at 3:36 p.m

Giles,

As of Feb 09 there is 1,454,515 active duty military. Almost as much in reserves.
Will you give/create civilian jobs for each and every one of those active duty members?
Do you realize that most of those who leave the military leave with college degrees? Either they had the degree when entering military service or gotten while serving. They work in law enforcement, telecommunication, nurses, aircraft mechanics, airline pilots, lawyers the list goes on and on.
I'd love to place you in a locked room with a few of America's military personnal and have you say they
have no real economic productivity; just a sinkhole.

Ace,

Those links just gave me a good chuckle. The cartoon is no different than the ones that surfaced about Bush, Clinton and other presidents.

Cruella de Vil and Scooby-Doo? LOL Harry Reid isn't a Scooby-Doo...more like Chester the little sidekick of Spike.
Now Cruella de Vil and Pelosi, well, what can I say...if the shoe fits...

As far as the rest goes....both parties do dirty underhanded crap not one party is any better or different than the other.
Both work for the same goal, just each goes about it a little different. Both are looking for ways to get your vote so they can take your money so they can have raises, take more freedoms away from you and me, make ignorant laws that benefits no one, have more control over our lives, to raising taxes and spending like a drunken sailors at a prostitute convention.

I vote for pneumatic tubes to shoot me right into downtown. No parking fees then.

Ace, lintrap?

Have either of you seen Avatar?
Son and his friends were discussing it the other day and some said it was a modern day Dances with wolves. Wondering what you two's take on it if you have seen it.

First movies are always better than sequels or remakes.

Goldenoldie may have left for Aussie land. She mentioned something about that not long ago that she'd be leaving soon.
