Owner: Natural Pruning & Landscaping in Vancouver. Retired Professor of Landscape Horticulture. Started gardening as a teenager on his family’s one acre property. At age 16 he began working part time in a garden store managed by his father. He completed a bachelor’s degree in Landscape Horticulture at Colorado State University. This was followed by a master’s degree in Horticulture Science at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
Worked for 7 years as an agricultural extension horticulture specialist in Florida and California. He was Horticulturist and Sales Manager for Goldsmith Seeds Inc. in Gilroy, California for 10 years. He then spent almost 24 years teaching Landscape Horticulture at Ricks College (now Brigham Young University–Idaho) in Rexburg, Idaho. BYU-Idaho is recognized as one of the premier teaching programs in Landscape Horticulture in America.
