4A Greater St. Helens League winter all league teams

I agree with UHSmom, the honorable mentions and maybe of equal importance, the academic excellence athletes as well. I know the honorable mentions have been listed in the past year's in some sports, but not sure about the player's that have been noticed for their academic achievements while playing a varsity sport also, as well as the teams that the State also recognizes for average GPA. These are also important to be promoted within sports, since they are "student" athletes, student being the primary objective.

E. coli outbreak occurred over time

They should not have to litigate to get their license reinstated. It sounds like it could have happened to anyone, since an isolated incident could not be identified. I know of many daycares over the years that, at times, took on more than they were supposed to for a short period. Just a shame to ruin a small business that has been around for so long. I hope the agency spoke with many of the parents and previous parents prior to just revoking their license because it seemed to be "the right thing to do" with such a terrible tragedy and result. In the end, it sounds like it could have happened anywhere, even a school.

Police: Noxious substance thrown in woman's face

In front of a Starbucks and nobody saw a thing? C'mon people, just get involved and make the call to help. This is a perfect example of why some people should be hit by a passing train...

Hazel Dell Metro nears bracket round at World Series

Looks like they may have gotten the 2nd seed for some odd reason - but who cares, they got a shot to win it all!

Hazel Dell Metro nears bracket round at World Series

They lost 9-3 in 9 innings, but looks like they will still be the 3rd place seed in their pool to move on to the single elimination bracket play. First game tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 PST. against the 2nd place seed from the American pool, loser out game.

Caught in coaches’ crossfire

I've heard that four of the starting five played at a different school last year, don't know if this is true information - but the source is a coach in 4A basketball.

4A boys basketball: Mountain View wins elusive title

Only ONE of the MV players even tried to shake the hands of the Skyview team after the game - Lucas Swanson. Hats off to him for making the effort to do so.

Vancouver firefighters to picket Station 3

New mayor - not a very good start. Time to tighten the belts in the correct places, and that is not on the service end of these departments.

Time to make good decisions and cut administrators to make up the shortfalls. (Just wish VSD would also follow this same outline.) Less people will lose their jobs to make up the needed dollars to keep essential services available and operating at capacity.

Even want a chance at a second term - now is your opportunity to show that you are truly for the people and do the right thing - as most privately owned company's have already had to do.
