Sorry lance, but have you researched the news that FOX broadcasts through INDEPENDENT sources? As for MSNBC, when they show me an unedited tape, I tend to believe it. Look on ANY government website publishing legislation verbatim, not INTERPRETED, or someones OPINION, and tell me what you get from that. Your views of the health care bill and other recent legislation may change, it may not. But at least you know you are getting unbiased information. I don't care who tells me the truth, but after being lied to about so many things, that source loses credibility. One example: Death Panels? NOT in the HC bill.
Your comment interests me. I am consciously choosing to play a game with Bob. He accuses Humanism of being a religion, so I'm playing his game of name and skewer a religion. He's a Christian and I'm referring to the Bible he reads which was written long ago in the Middle East by foreigners. Thus, if he wants to claim that Humanism is a religion, I intend to constantly compare his belief in King of King and Prince of Peace Jesus to a belief in monarchism... which it is once you strip away all the spiritual nonsense. And, of course, everything that he loathes about Humanism (like free choice, freedom of association) are also so qualities and beliefs of Humanism. Thus Humanism is the religion of democracy. Since I plan to point our that his ideas come from the monarchies in the Bible while mine come from humans who control their own destinies, I thought I'd give you a heads up as to my plan and intention.
The fact that you are also an unbeliever and don't understand my metaphor adds to my belief very few Americans think about the fact that the Bible is a book supporting a desire for a monarchist government instead of a Humanist one i.e led by elected officials.
Anyway, hope that clears up the stance I'm taking in my debates with Boblarimer.
