But Lew, don't get me wrong, I truly appreciate your position, less than vaguely reminiscent of one posed at a recent, "town hall meeting," where the *Princess of Camas,* whose ground rules for discussion--i.e., right wing propaganda posing as a slide show--banned any and all references as to: "How We Got Here."
Lew - please, what I jotted there in five minutes is hardly Bush bashing. I'd need an hour or more for that. No, that paragraph akin to what Joe Friday used to term as please, "only the facts, mam." Deal with it.
There is so much confounding ignorance coming from these right wing armchair economists that I'm about to gag. Bush never vetoed a single spending bill during his entire eight years in office, the man waged two unfunded wars (over 7 trillion dollars), ushered in deep tax cuts for the wealthy (over 1.3 trillion dollars), created the medicare doughnut hole (1.1 trillion dollars), squandered the 2.1 Billion Dollar Clinton surplus, and then gut kicked the entire country and left it reeling on its knees from the biggest financial catastrophe in the history of the planet; but only after 30 years of Republicon "trickle down upon us" economics literally shoved down our collective throats nightly on the Roger Ailes Fox Noise Channel, and you freaks have the gall to attack Senator Murray and by inference President Obama for funding public works projects *in our own state* that economists from both sides of the isle all agreed were absolutely necessary to jump start the recovery from the Bush nightmare?
That would a Fox Noise holiday, which is everyday for me.
We owe a debt of sincere gratitude to the soldiers, and especially among them to those brave souls who sacrificed their lives, and all they would ever be, in service to flag and country in defense of the Constitution of the USA. God Bless them every last one. And may the day come soon when we put an end to the war of man.
Mrs T - thanks for those links but apparently gto has been watching so much Fox Noise that she wouldn't know a fact if she saw one. Indeed the true culprit when it comes to cutting veterans' medical benefits would be none other than Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann.
cranky - President Obama's position that he stated this week "regarding" the 1967 border as a starting point for negotiations between Isreal and the Palistinians is NO DIFFERENT than the positions of George Bush the elder, Bill Clinton, or George W. Bush; all the same identical policy positions and of course with the Obama policy typically misreported by Fox Noise. I repeat, NO DIFFERENCE at all. So whatever your saying about President Obama in this regard your saying the same thing about those former presidents noted. Look it up.
gto - You don't know what your talking about. Your comments simply show your own ignorance of the kind of men Secretary Gates and President Obama both are. Obama encourages dissent in the cabinet and has done so since his first days in office. Your partisan blinders prevent you from seeing things with a clear mind.
