I am not sure whom to contact: But have a question:
I know of a single mom with 2 elementary children, in Clark County that stays on property for a woman. The woman doesn't live in C.C. anymore & the house is in forclosure. She has not paid the PUD but 2 small pmts. since last July, which was part of the agreement.
The power has been shut off & since it runs a pump for water..... Well you can only guess what the family is going through... She can't move... No money... Isn't it illegal for power to be shut off when small children are in house & winter weather as well?
The bill is around $1600.00. It is the responsibility of the owner to pay. What can be done for the mom & children?

zebrablue: Don't lower yourself to that level. It will do no good to call them. Speaking from experience.

JohnK: there IS another side to this story. But you definitely would not like it. Experience speaking here!!
I too wish I could be on the Jury for this one. Also, be able to present some of my own experiences with backup...
I hope your attorney is on of the best in Clark County Mr. Morse. They DO NOT fight nice. Staying just barely inside the law!
I hope the Columbian stays on top of this one.

There’s no shortage of pesky scammers

I have caller ID. It came up a no number listing. Since my kids have cell phones & some show it as a private number, I answered. It was 4 in the AM... I called the phone co. immediately. With out a court order, there is nothing they will do. Yes, it can be traced by them. But only with a court order. I tried the *97 or what ever it was. It came up as a busy signal.
As for the no tresspassing etc signs. I believe most people think it doesn't pertain to them.
Thing is: Do not EVER say "yes" on the phone, even in answer to is this so & so. You can get scammed that way also.

There’s no shortage of pesky scammers

We received a call @ 4:30 AM. Said it was our Grandson (by his first name)who is serving "in country" (meaning out of the USA for those who do not understand that meaning). The connection was so bad. Only got parts of what was said. Part was "having personal issues"... Well that had us on edge for several days, till we could reach our grandson. When I pushed for "what is your first middle & last name" the connections was lost. When we finally reached our Grandson, we found he was doing well. WHEW... I really dislike people that prey on others.

UPDATE: Gunman wounds congresswoman, kills six others

OK... folks... All this "finger pointing, name calling" etc. does not change the fact. We have a huge problem in our country, being... the UNITED STATES of AMEICA. Get off your backsides & be productive. Don't be an armchair complainer.
Our country needs to do more to keep "SICK" people off the streets. Not just medicate them & tell them to go home. This kind of thing should never NEVER happen. I have no problem with weapons. I think we should all be able to have them if wanted, BUT through the proper channels. It is usually the innocent that pay. Time to do something... Pointing fingers is not the answer. Lets take a moment of prayer for the families of the victims that are still fighting for life & families of the ones that didn't make it.

UPDATE: Gunman wounds congresswoman, kills six others

While I am so very sorry for the Giffords & Rolls families. My heart goes out to them. HOWEVER: There are 5 FIVE other families that lost a loved one. We need to hear about them. They TOO should be in the headlines. Not just the "known" people. So often we do not hear about the little guy. Just like we hear about these two families, but what about the service men & women in Iraq & Afghanistan that are loosing their lives. We don't always get the news about them. WHY?
