State strengthens 'move over' law on roadways

Cheap, when the traffic is going slower in the travel lane, and I drive the speed limit in the passing lane, I am not breaking the law, there is no obligation to get over for someone else that is breaking the law by speeding..again as long as I am passing slower traffic in the right lane then I am not in violation..and you can yell at me all you want, I am retired Law Enforcement, so I do have a pretty good handle on the law..and if my legal travel in the passing lane provokes aggressive behavior, then be prepared to get the citation..

CNN, Fox News project Republican House takeover

What I find real interesting is 10 of the house seats were taken by "Tea Party" affiliated candidates...like them or hate them, they showed they are new force in this country..

I don't understand why everybody is in so much of a hurry, I thought us Americans have a lover affair going on with our cars, if I remember correctly, when you having a love affair, you want to stay with the center or your affection longer, not shorter, the faster you go, the less time you have to spend with the center of your affection..

Because the people that make the laws says the cop has the authority to make your mind up for you, I would have to say, if you have a problem with it, you should take it up with the lawmakers not those enforce the law.

But I would have to say, I think most cops do have a bit more training in driving than the average citizen. Again, it sounds like your problem is with the lawmakers, not the law enforcers...

Urabus said "What if the driver usually drives above the speed limit and feels an appropriate reduced speed is the speed limit?"

I would have to say, in both cases, depending on the cop you run into, your breaking the law!

Well it seems the driver that caused the accident was distracted and it really didn't have much to do with the fog!! He ran into a parked car, because he was drinking his coffee!!!!

But what it comes down to, the cops are always the one that determines what is safe and what is not, it has always been that way, they get to make the call, not the drivers, it was even that way back in the day of no speed limits when we just drove under the basic rule.

I remember a time in Washington, that there were no speed limit signs on I-5

Pushing up the demands to resign, I have no problem with that, but using hate to do it, is not productive...and shows the same level of anger that she showed in her meltdown..
