Vancouver slaying victim had tried to leave town

Well that's a relief!
Not sure why you think an overused idiom is such a clever comeback..must be all that ***'outside the box'*** thinking you do ..certainly isn't any use of logic as you have demonstrated quite effectively that you don't even dabble in that.

Perhaps hurling an obviously inapplicable insult will make you feel better about coming to the defense of someone who was caught covered in blood on the way from dumping his victim's mutilated body off the side of the road...all because you want people to think you have some inside track on the 'whole story' that you feebly tout as relevatory.

Get a grip.

Why am I not surprised ?

These are KIDS..anything we can do to help them make better, rational choices when they are facing emotional hardship should be done.

And my point is you keep saying "more to all of this then people know" .
No, it's not hard to understand.. it's ***IRRELEVANT***.
There is NOTHING "more" that can mitigate my judgment regarding his actions. Yes, that's right, I am JUDGING him for his ACTIONS..in case you have any doubts. I'm not waiting for the whole story because it DOES NOT MATTER and can not possibly change my opinion of a person who could do this.

"She was possessive" ??????
Thanks ..that certainly explains him stabbing her repeatedly!

I get that you saw another side to this guy, but there is NOTHING more to the story that could justify what he did. So yes, we will continue to judge him on his actions ..not on his past. I expect that's what the court system will be doing as well.

Would you want your child/sister/mother/friend's murderer to get a free pass because he'd always (except for that domestic violence call and the multiple stab wounds) been a "nice" guy?

Letter: Concern over access for all dissent

So was the format change to list letters on separate pages about cleaning up commentary or about increasing pages views? If I have to click on each letter to read it ..that means more page views than all the letters on one..

Letter: Concern over access for all dissent

I use Facebook and have commented here for a couple of years. I do NOT however plan to link these two accounts.

The commentary here is more contentious and more honest than it would be if linked to real names. Yes that means there are trolls and it can get ugly. I prefer the dirty slugfest that we sometimes see over a sanitized version that you will get with people who are worried that their opinions could get read by their employer, in laws, church and the nutcase down the street.

I will miss the raw, no holds barred honesty. Frankly, I don't read or respond much if it isn't interesting. What's the point if it isn't to try to present your view to someone on the other side of a discussion?

I think REQUIRED linking to facebook is a sellout. It's an abdication of moderating duties and a copout. There are plenty of posters who choose not to be on facebook at all and this is disrespectful to their choice. There are those like myself, who keep these identities separate and will choose to continue to do so even if that means NOT participating here.

I find it funny that the opinions of those who *MAY* post or *PROMISE* to post in a kinder, gentler, blander scenario are held in higher regard than those of use who've been willing to weather the insults and tip toe through the mud to voice our opinions and be active in the comments without handholding.
Really, the "someone attacked my anonymous avatar and called me stupid even though they don't know who I am and it hurt my feelings" crowd is too thin skinned for my taste anyway.

Now you are assigning ME arbitrary labels? I can see why you agree with cranky ..your thought processes seem to align.. you seem very capable of correlating completely unrelated facts with your supposition and then present an unsupported, irrelevant conclusion, BRAVO!

If it's so bad here, why wouldn't he (and you, if you agree) WANT to move? No one said you HAVE to ..
All I read was a bunch of disjointed, nonsensical allegations thta have nothing to do with the actual story. Was it the politicians or the developers who killed this woman?
NO.

If you don't like Vancouver and Clark County ..you have choices ..move away, or do something more constructive than complaining vaguely and randomly assigning blame.
