Hello Ray, you and I do not know one another but I have seen some of your articles. I know you are the Columbian's new reporter to cover East County and replacing apparently Marissa Harshman. Welcome.
Ray, if you really want to get to know Washougal, Camas and the rest of the communities you really are going to have to spend some time out here. Phone calls are ok once in awhile but for something as HOT and THREATENING as the unrest at Washougal City Council really needs more in-depth reporting.
I was at the last WAshougal City Council meeting. I attend many. This was no "quiet walk out" as reported by the Post Record. It was a deliberate attempt to put to a standstill the democratic process during that meeting. Ray, do you read the Columbian's online blog comments? If you do, it should really demonstrate to you and the Columbian there are some real, newsworthy, important problems going on here right now in our little city government. Block voting, OPMA violations, planned absences, angry tantrums, etc. Ray, this should not be happening to over 14,000 people.
This is regarding the article you wrote "Audience comment draws B.G. councilman's ire on Facebook" on April 6th. I was the one who said the misinterpreted comment.
In my defense, this was my first time I have ever approach public officials in this manner and unfortunately I choose some words, to describe a situation I have witnessed, that I should not have. My apologies to the city council members I offended, I was very nervous and I made the mistake of speaking without thinking. My intension was not to offend anyone.
It is truly upsetting that Mr. Reinhold did not focus on any of the facts I had mention but only a poorly stated comment I made. I am by no means a racist, Mr. Reinhold. I believe in America and the process of Legal Immigration. One of the beautiful attributes of America is it diversity.
However, Mr. Reinhold I would like to thank you for pointing out my flaws for this was truly a learning experience for me, and I will remember in the future when speaking to public officials to be very careful with my words because they can be misinterpreted and turned against me very quickly. It is sad you attacked me on a social network site, and I find it very upsetting you posted hurtful things about someone you don’t even know.
I find it very ironic that Mr. Reinhold accused me of being a racist and a “clan member” in the article you wrote "Audience comment draws B.G. councilman's ire on Facebook" on April 6th. When apparently in 2008 his son was in some trouble regard some racist emails sent to another council member. Please check the link above.
Ray, did you attend the last City Council meeting in Washougal? I think I may have you seen you there sitting in the front row. If so, let me know and the next time I will introduce myself to you. I would like to meet you.
Well, well. I see Braggs is spewing filth again. I was wondering where you went with your snarky comments - straight to Legendre, I see...Sneaky. Your comments on The Columbian have sounded almost reasonable lately... But I found you real you, right here.

"Block voting, OPMA violations, planned absences, angry tantrums..." Oh, brother. Nobody cares what you say, Braggs. You create conflict just so you can stay in the spotlight, and we are all on to your little games. Give it up, and get a life.

I think you might do the readers of the Columbian and the citizens of Washougal a good turn by paying a visit to our City Council meetings some time. I know I would like to meet you in person. Ray, I tried to reach you on the phone but was forever busy. I just wanted to personally congratulate you on your Sunday Aug. 14 article, "Washougal Officials Take Sides In Election". Excellent piece. I think you correctly portrayed the problem that Washougal is now going through with its Council. I think by exposing this mess to the pubic's eye may very well be the first step in getting this community back on its feet. Thanks again.
Ray, is the Columbian going to report on the latest Jon Russell scandal, Mrs. Russell's confession, or not? I do think this kind of things needs the press to get it out into the open. This should be considered a public service item.
