Drift my partner and I have done the same thing as you for the last 11 years. We went to a attorney after the 4th or 5th year and had all the papers drawn up so she can sign any thing in case something happens to me and I can for her.We also did a power of attorney for both of us and a living will.It just didn't make economic sense for us to marry legaliy. We are happy with the way we did it and are families are too.We don't need a paper from the State to be happy.

Elisi,Golden,Hawk, you don't have to use the ignore button. If you don't respond pretty soon he has no power or conversation.Remember it takes at least 2 to have a conversation.Just don't reply to him.

I agree Allen. But like I said in order for companys to manufacture here they need to make a profit. They can't now because labor is so cheap overseas. If we made it so the products that are imported were so expensive to bring here they might just start producing here again.Make it so that the raw materials we ship overseas are to expensive to ship.Basil calls for job training in medical, enviromental and solar. That is all well and good but people have to have incomes that allow them to buy these products and services. We could do all this if our leaders didn't line their own pockets with lobby money.I guess I might be looking at this as to simple but it makes sense to me.

Basil I do agree with the training AND higher ed.But where will we put these people to work? We need a manufacturing base that pays a living wage. Not everybody is going to be trade workers or use their education in some kind of office situation. We need factory workers to produce goods what we now are importing from over seas.Thats why I say put a tariff on all imported goods to the extent that it will make it profitable for companys to produce here. How does not being a cunsumer based economy solve the problem. It seems to me that we have to spend in order to keep our people working. We need to produce the goods that we all need.Things that say made in the U.S.A.Working people will spend and support our fellow citizens.

Basil I agree with Mr. Herbert. But he doesn't address the round about we seem to be on.In order to put people back to work we need to have people spending money to buy products and services that are produced and or sold here in the U.S.I don't have a answer either. The only thing that I see is to put a tariff on all goods that are imported that could be made here.Make it profitable for companys to produce here in the U.S. again.

Roger do any of these elected ones realize that the bulk of us in business are small operations that are having the same problem with this economy in our busniess and personal lives.I know of several people in business that have quit paying their selfs, just to keep their employes working.I really don't think it matters which side of the fence they are both the D and the Rs have spent us into this mess along with their big banking buddies.

Did anybody read the business section today. If you did what did you think of Jim Moellers answer to Tim Howell questions. The drift I got was that is all our fault for voteing in I-747 to restrict tax's.It is also the citys fault for not bringing back the B&O tax.The B&O was not brought back because instead the city charges all of us in business a 50.00 head tax for each employee we have.I think it might be time for Mr. Moeller to join Pat Campbell.

C-TRAN forum

Goldie I just read the comments on the face book side by David Madore. Also I read the Cs reporting. My question is is it worth saving 5 to 10 min.per stop when we are putting at risk the possibilty of busness's going out because of no access to their stores? Also the money that would be spent on the whole project is just mind boggling.I for one think that C-Tran has wasted far to much money now.
