Great article on your evaluation of the all league voting, very interesting what is developing in Clark County, I think it's more than just a matter of a couple players transfering schools. Just called you to get the results of the Evergreen v. Skyview district Championship game. Keep reporting the facts.
I agree with UHSmom, the honorable mentions and maybe of equal importance, the academic excellence athletes as well. I know the honorable mentions have been listed in the past year's in some sports, but not sure about the player's that have been noticed for their academic achievements while playing a varsity sport also, as well as the teams that the State also recognizes for average GPA. These are also important to be promoted within sports, since they are "student" athletes, student being the primary objective.
Where is the 1 A Trico League All-League SOFTBALL Team ? You guys did a super job with the 4A-2A both online and in print...please do not leave the little guys out, they deserve some "props" and the players know who made the team they are just waiting my the newspaper tube every morning hoping that today will be their day in print :)

Hello Tim~ I am a proud Mom of a Columbia River HS Varsity girls basketball player and am wondering about the All League Teams & Honorable Mentions? I noticed that the 1A,2A & 4A were posted, but not the 3A. River did not have a winning year, so to see recognition of our girls efforts is a wonderful. I too am in agreement with the UHSmom & Ron Liebelt regarding Honorable Mentions & Academic Excellence. Achieving Academic Excellence while playing a high school sport requires a lot of our kids. eddie abellar posted a 3 under 33 at green mountain. columbian sports writer reported eddie abellar as posting 3 under 36, there is no par 39 in golf! and the writer continued that eddie did this at club green meadows. sports writer should be aware of the distinction between the two courses. green mountain is a different course from club green meadows, fyi..

The Evergreen/Union game is at 5 PM. The Camas/Heritage game is at 8 PM.
